چکیده
The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) and back-to-back converter are very sensitive to power quality disturbances in grid-connected wind energy conversion systems (WECSs). Special attention has been given protect the system from voltage sags, considering introduction of several low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) techniques literature. However, only few works have really analyzed behavior semiconductors during such phenomena terms thermal stresses, whereas existing studies focused on balanced sags only. In this context, work presents a profile analysis grid-side (GSC) rotor-side (RSC) DFIG-based WECS submitted symmetrical asymmetrical sags. is modeled using PLECS software results 2.0 MW presented thoroughly discussed. show that it possible meet requirements both unbalanced acceptable stresses as long its respective control properly designed.

This paper presents the complete modeling and real-time simulation of wind turbine driven doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) which feeds ac power to the utility grid. For that, two pulse width modulated voltage source converters are connected back to back between the rotor terminals and utility grid via common dc link. It is found that there are so many limitations in the conventional contro...
